Waterfowl in Winter

Waterfowl in Winter at Rouken Glen, Glasgow

This evening, I am presenting a small portfolio of images taken over the past 48 hours around south Glasgow which illustrate the current winter spell which is likely to be prolonged with more snow on its way.

Above image shows a small bank of swans and other small birds on a semi-frozen lake at Rouken Glen park.

Below is a waterfall located in the same park.

Here is a view from Queens Park of a snowman enjoying a vista of a snow covered Glasgow. Not far from this site was fought the Battle of Langside in 1568 between forces of Mary Queen of Scots and the Regent Moray. The latter prevailed.

Prompted by the snow, I went out today to the local park to  photograph the winter scenes and locals having fun activities in the snow. Above and below can be found a small portfolio of images all of which were taken during persistent snowfall. I also managed this video clip.
