Hiking Group on Kaim Hill, Scotland

Today, I joined a thirty strong hiking group which covered an area of North Ayrshire, close to Largs and Fairlie which afforded superb high elevation views of the Firth of Clyde (bay or estuary where the River Clyde enters the sea), Largs and its marina, islands known as Great Cumbrae and Little Cumbrae plus stunning views of snow-capped mountains on the Isle of Arran opposite.

Falls of Clyde, New Lanark, Scotland.

This evening, I am posting information on the Falls of Clyde at New Lanark, Scotland. Location is equidistant between Glasgow and Edinburgh being 30 miles S.E. of former and 35 miles S.W. of latter.

Hiking group with canine friend

This evening, I am reporting on today’s small group hike along a walkway centred on the Water of Leith (river)¬†flowing through Edinburgh, Scotland, to the nearby Port of Leith where it connects with the sea via the Firth of Forth (bay or estuary). The river is ¬†twenty miles long and rises in the Colzium Springs.
