Today, I am focusing on Loch Ness, one of Scotland’s top visitor sites.

Loch Ness:

  • Comprises the greatest volume of freshwater in Britain and ranks second only to Loch Lomond in surface area. The loch is 22.6 miles (37 km) long and about 1 mile (1.6Km) wide. Greatest depth is 750 ft (230m).

This evening, I am providing information on one of Scotland’s top tourist destinations, namely the Isle of Skye. Skye forms part of the Inner Hebrides and is¬†located off the North-West coast of Scotland. Access is usually via the Skye Bridge or the ferry from Mallaig. There is a strong Gaelic and Scandinavian (Viking)¬† influence on the history, culture and place names.
