Gorbals Architecture, Glasgow, Scotland

Today, I provided a small group tour of Glasgow’s East End with emphasis on the Gorbals district.

From central Glasgow we drove past Celtic F.C. stadium, Parkhead to our first stop at the Peoples Palace (1898) on Glasgow Green. Latter comprises a museum focused on the social history of Glasgow with a winter gardens attached which is home to exotic plants and a cafe.

Glasgow Green, Scotland

This evening, I am focusing on Glasgow Green, an elongated piece of parkland within walking distance of central Glasgow. To the west and south runs the River Clyde whilst to the north and east is a built up area including London Road.

Boathouse Pub, Water Row, Newburn
