This evening I am reporting on a hike over a route which covered about seven miles, passing between Drumfrochar and Wemyss Bay, in West of Scotland. Some of the higher elevations in the region reach about fifteen hundred feet. This location is bordered by the River Clyde where it is known as the Firth of Clyde.

Today I am reporting on a recent small group hike along a route covering seven miles between Lanark and Cleghorn Bridge. This location is about twenty-eight miles S.E. of Glasgow in the west of Scotland The route covered a rural landscape with extensive range of trees and vegetation. Autumnal fruits such as elderberries and blueberries were encountered plus fungi.

Tonight I am posting posting information on a recent (June 9th and 10th) small group hike along the line of Hadrian’s Wall in northern England where the village of Chollerford, near Chesters Roman Fort,  was used as a base.
