Whitewater Slalom Paddling at Grandtully, Scotland

This morning, we departed our lodgings in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands and drove south for a couple of hours stopping for a break and refreshments at the House of Bruar shopping mall near Blair Atholl. Here we encountered a small group of West Highland Terriers (“Westies”).

This morning, I collected guests from Glasgow Airport and proceeded on a tour sites in East Renfrewshire and Ayrshire, Scotland with aim of connecting with one couple’s Cunningham ancestry.

Peacock at Scone Palace.

This morning, June 5th., we departed our lodgings in Stirling, central Scotland and embarked on a trip as follows:

First to Scone Palace near Perth. Although the Palace is 19th century, the site is very ancient, reputedly a power base of the Picts but most importantly the ancient crowning site of the Kings of Scotland during the medieval period. Those to be crowned were required to sit on the Stone of Destiny, a block of sandstone, which is now represented by a replica with original in Edinburgh Castle. Inside the Palace are artefacts, paintings and antiques whilst outside are well-kept gardens with a small muster of Peacocks in attendance.
